A welcoming restaurant known for its quality food and warm atmosphere. If you visit on a jazz night, expect a lovely buzz. The menu covers lunch, dinner.

A local favourite for coffee, breakfast, and pastries, with a lovely shop full of artisan goods. Every Wednesday evening (5:30–7:30 pm,) they host Pizza Night, a relaxed mid-week treat for visitors and locals alike.

Roundwood Inn

Full of old-world charm, this is a classic Irish pub and restaurant with hearty, well-cooked food. You might spot lobster on the menu when available, and there’s a subtle German influence in some dishes. The house Riesling is excellent, and locals say they pour the best pint of Guinness in Roundwood. Open Friday to Tuesday.

A beautiful rustic restaurant and whiskey bar, famous for its classic Irish and continental dishes. The décor is cosy, full of character, and there’s a large outdoor terrace for fine weather.

A lively pub in the heart of Laragh — perfect for a pint and hearty food after exploring Glendalough. Great atmosphere and warm service all year round.

Located within Avoca Kilmacanogue, this café is loved for breakfast and lunch served with generous portions. Enjoy browsing the food market, garden centre, and boutique before or after your meal. Their in-house wine selection is ideal for a bottle to bring back to the cottage.
