The Space

The open-plan living area features a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, and a dining table. The adjoining kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals and includes a gas oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, and wine fridge.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with frosted glass doors. The master bedroom is larger and offers views of the mountains.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private patio with a barbecue and dining area, along with a small front garden. For guests seeking an authentic Irish base, this self-catering cottage in Wicklow offers the perfect blend of privacy and comfort.

Amenities

Family Information

We welcome children aged eight and older. The cottage includes features that may not be suitable for younger children, such as glass bathroom doors, a wood-burning stove, high mattresses, a drop from the patio, and a pond in the garden. Families with younger children are welcome to enquire if these features do not pose concerns.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the cottage, private front garden, and patio area. The nearby studio lodges can also be booked to create extra bedrooms.

Country Life Notes

Our hens provide fresh eggs when available, and we also have a resident rooster who keeps watch over the flock. Guests are welcome to feed the hens by tossing suitable food over the fence.

On Fridays during term time, we host art classes for children at our home. You may hear some activity in the garden during these hours, though the cottage has its own private space for you to enjoy.

From time to time, you may notice farm machinery working in the surrounding fields.

Taxis must be pre-booked, so most guests find having a car the most convenient way to explore the area.

If you’d like the rooster mentioned in a more light-hearted or more formal way, just say the word.
